Last Week In Video Games

Ah, Spring Break (at least where I live). I remember the times when I used to be begging for spring break so I could sleep in for as long as I wanted and then play video games until my eyes fell out. Now my spring break doesn't exist anymore. So I hope those of you with time off enjoy it for the both of us. And with that, let's get into the latest news in video games.

For the most part this week has been fairly quiet. We've just been given details on a couple of sequels that are in development. Nothing really major as these new games are in the beginning phases of development. So it looks like this week will just be a bunch of tidbits:
  • BioWare has said that the Dragon Age team has moved off of Dragon Age II and onto "The next big thing." Dragon Age III?
  • Speaking of BioWare, they are looking into a way to help make the ending of Mass Effect 3 a little more enjoyable.
  • Crystal Dynamics are reportedly working on a new Soul Reaver title.Don't know if it's a remake, or a sequel.
  • It also looks like Epic Mickey will get a sequel which is kinda surprising. I've heard nothing but good things about the game but I don't know anyone who's actually played it.
  • Sony has announced LittleBigPlanet Karting. Not really sure how I feel about that...
  • Bayonetta will be a playable character in the new Platinum Games title, Anarchy Reigns

Last Week In Video Games

It's that time again. No, not time to take over the world. That's coming later. No, it's time to give you the run down of what happened last week as far as video games goes. You'd think you'd be used to this by now. Got nothing really worthwhile to report in the world of Sturby other than I am (finally) playing Brutal Legend. Holy hell this game is fun. Plus, I wasn't aware of how many amazing, old school metal songs were in this game. Since playing the game I can't stop listening to Diamondhead, Testament and Iced Earth. It's been a lot of fun so I'm not sure what people were upset about when the game came out. Oh well, I'm enjoying it. But onto the task at hand. There was a fairly big announcement this past week so let's get to it!

8-bit Metal Mondays: So, Mass Effect 3.....

It consumed me. ALL of me. It's been a long time since I played a game that I just wanted to keep playing, day and night. I was thinking about it at work and I was having bizarre dreams about it as well. I formulated attack plans in my head, and I steered myself for an epic story line. Now that I have finished this great space opera, I feel a little..... disappointed. . While I don't think the ending was as bad as everyone and their cousins say, I do think it was in bad need of an epilogue.

Next game on the hit list is Silent Hill: Downpour, which I'll be picking up tomorrow before the day job hits. Out of all the games I'll be picking up this year, the new SH makes me the most apprehensive. I enjoy the series, but the last few games have been so lackluster that I've just about given up on the series. Playing a terrible demo of Downpour at E3 last year didn't raise my hopes, but then they announced a delay in the game to polish it up, so hopefully it won't be a complete turd.

Now, let's pass on some god bleepy luck to the new Silent Hill.

Last Week In Video Games

Greetings all. Been a pretty slow week which is great after a month of renovations. Celebrated by doing SFA pretty much every night. Re-organized the music on my phone and computer, played some Fallout: New Vegas and watched a couple episodes of the new Spartacus season. Plus I think I've found a way to make our Facebook page a little more interesting by posting a video of the week as well as a song of the day. So Subscribe or Like us on Facebook for more Games Meet Metal amazingness! Now that the self plug is out of the way, let's get into the video game news from this past week.

8-Bit Metal Mondays; Riff's Ouchie Continued

Well, what seemed like a slowdown of my heel became enflamed yet again, and no amount of keeping my foot levitated and in ice couldn't calm down the bullet-seering pain. Thus, I had to resort to some honest pain medication and buying some super soft heel shoes. NOW the pain seems to be receding, but I've said that before, and we know how that ended up.

Bad foot or not, I'll be joining my nerd brethren tonight for the release of two blockbusters: Mass Effect 3 and Street Fighter X Tekken. While I'm all hyped about ME3, I feel that SFXTK is getting the shaft advertising wise. So, here's my little help to get people's attention by doing a few bleepy videos from both series!

Last Week In Video Games

Oh, hello! How are you today? That's good. Well, the renovations in my basement have been completed so now I can actually relax for the foreseeable future. I am looking forward to it because I'm behind in some TV Shows and Video Games and I am really looking forward to some couch potato time. But, before i get to that I am gonna let you know what happened last week in the world of video games.
