Last Week In Video Games

Yes, I am still here and I am fine. After a couple of busy weekends (concerts, family, holidays) I have time to fill everyone in on the happenings in video game land. But I'm not taking too much time as I have some more Diablo III to play (Sturbinator#1229). I only have the starter edition for a couple of reasons. 1) Wanted to make sure all of the bugs were worked out before getting the full version. 2) Wanted to see how well it would play on my crappy computer. 3) Wanted to see how each class played before going to the end with one of them. So far I have managed to play everything but the Barbarian (though I've just started the Witch Doctor) at my favourite is the Monk. They're just beasts when it comes to groups of baddies. I'll save all of my thoughts for a proper review, but I don't know when I will get around to doing one. Aaaaanyway...... games news!
Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god! Check out this INSANE Street Fighter 25the Anniversary Collection:
Isn't that the sweetest video game release you've ever seen? This set will be available for Xbox 360 and PS3 and it will include the following:
  • Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix
  • Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition
  • Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition (with all Costume DLC)
  • Street Fighter X Tekken (with all Character and Swap Costume DLC)
  • An Eleven Disc Sountrack collecting music from Street Fighter's 25 year history
  • A 64 Page Art Book
  • A Light-Up, 8" Ryu Statue
  • Full Size Ryu Belt
  • 2 BluRay discs that inclue a documentary, all episodes from the SF animated series and the SFII, SSFIV and SFIV animated movies.
  • A Certificate of Authenticity
All for the low low price of $149.99. WHAT!??!?! I'll be snatching that up without a doubt!

Other than that, things have been pretty quiet since a lot of companies are saving all of the juicy bits for E3. So I'll close off this week's post with some tidbits.
  • Diablo III sold 6.3 million copies within a week of release. No wonder there were so many login problems.
  • Speaking of Diablo III login problems, you can buy a shirt for that rare chance you go outside!
  • Zone of the Enders 3 development has been confirmed!
  • Dead Space Extraction and Goldeneye dev team working on a new Harry Potter Kinect game.
  • Anarchy Reigns North American release has been delayed indefinitely.
  • A 3D Castlevania game is headed to the 3DS.
  • Tekken Tag Tournament 2 will be released on September 11th.
